A South Indian classic, Rasam Soup is a tangy, spiced broth made with tamarind, tomatoes, black pepper, and aromatic herbs. Add Deep Rasam Powder for a light yet invigorating broth full of comforting warmth and digestive benefits.
Cooking Instructions

STEP 1
Add ghee, cumin seeds, hing and mustard seeds, to a pot and cook until fragrant. Then add the garlic and cook until golden, Add the onions and cook until soft and brown.

Add the tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes breakdown, becoming soft and mushy. Next, add Rasam Powder and cook until fragrant and oil separation occurs.

STEP 3
Add jaggery and cook until it melts. Add water, tamarind pulp and salt and bring the pot to a simmer. Let it simmer for 10 minutes or until the soup has thickened and reduced. Add cilantro and simmer for 1 minute. Serve and enjoy!
