Gun Powder French Fries

Crispy golden fries meet South Indian flair in this bold, addictive snack! Tossed with our spicy, nutty Gun Powder Podi — a roasted lentil and chili spice blend — these fries deliver a perfect balance of crunch, heat, and umami.
Cooking Instructions

STEP 1
Dry roast sesame seeds till they pop. Transfer in a bowl. In the same pan, dry roast black gram, roasted Bengal gram and split Bengal gram till fragrant. Transfer in the same bowl.

In the same pan, dry roast mustard seeds till they splutter. Transfer in the same bowl. In the same pan, dry roast red chillies for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.

Add asafoetida and jaggery powder in the bowl and mix. Grind the mixture alongwith roasted chillies and salt into a coarse powder. Transfer in a bowl and adjust the seasoning. Use as required or store in an airtight container.

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry french fries till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer the fries in a zip lock bag and add sufficient amount of molaga podi in it. Seal and shake well. Serve immediately.
