Cooking Instructions

  • STEP 1

    Finely grate the onions and tomatoes. Thaw the frozen chopped spinach and chopped methi leaves. Cut paneer into cubes.

  • STEP 2

    In small cooking pot, boil 2 cups of water. Add 1 tablespoon of oil, and the paneer pieces and the turn off the flame. Cover and keep aside for 5 mins. Next, drain excess water and place in 1 cup of water in a bowl.

  • STEP 3

    On medium flame, heat oil in pan. Add the cloves, cinnamon sticks, whole black pepper, turmeric powder, salt, and the grated onion and grated tomato. Mix well and cover and cook for 2 minutes.

  • STEP 4

    Add Kashmiri masala paste, green chili chutney and mix well. Add the thawed spinach, thawed methi leaves, red chili powder, coriander cumin powder, and 1 cup of water. Mix thoroughly, then cover and cook for approximately 2 mins.

  • STEP 5

    Add the drained paneer with 0.25 cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Turn on high flame and stir from time to time until the oil comes out. Turn off the flame, add salted butter and mix well. Serve hot and enjoy!
